| The Friends of The Agricultural History
Farm Park sponsor special events and conduct volunteer improvement projects at this
unique nineteenth century farm property at 18400 Muncaster Road in Derwood. Situated along
Rock Creek, the Agricultural History Farm Park is a 410 acre complex with a farmhouse and
barn. |
 |
| It also has assorted farm out
buildings and a new activity center. When the Department of Parks purchased the farm
in the 1960s to preserve Rock Creek, it was with an eye to the future that the farm,
in time, would be developed as a park to interpret the past, present, and future of
farming in Montgomery County. |
Each year the Friends of The
Agricultural History Farm Park sponsors a variety of activities for people of all
ages.
